Progressive Education: The Heart of Our Preschool

At our preschool, we’ve chosen to go beyond traditional teaching methods. We distance ourselves from the approach where everything is done by command and obligation. Instead, we embrace progressive education, which respects the individual and harmonious development of each of our young learners. We say “no” to traditional education because we believe in inviting children to learn, not imposing it upon them.

Every child is unique. No two children are the same, and their development must be viewed through this lens. For us, education is much more than imparting knowledge; it’s about nurturing the mind, body, and heart of each child. Every child comes to our preschool with their own little world, full of expectations, eager to learn, and, most importantly, to feel loved, respected, and cared for.

Our approach isn’t just educational—it’s holistic. We believe that true emotional connection is the foundation for any learning. If we aren’t able to connect with early childhood, we’re overlooking the most important aspect of working with young children: their emotional development. Behind every child’s behavior lies a message that they may not yet be able to verbalize. Did you know that the human brain doesn’t fully develop until the age of 25 or 30? Yet, we often ask our little ones to respond as if they were adults.

At our preschool, we are committed to the idea that every child should feel part of a community, in a safe space where they can express themselves and grow at their own pace. We want each child to feel that their school is a place where they are cared for and, if they need to cry, their parents are there to support them.

From the very beginning, we implement a bonding process that invites parents to accompany their children in the early days, ensuring that they don’t feel abandoned during this crucial stage of life. For us, it’s essential that children see school as an extension of their home—a place where they are respected and cared for.

Our educational proposal goes far beyond the classroom. We work with heart, with the awareness that every child who comes to our school is on a unique learning journey. We want to learn together, grow together, and, above all, create a space where every child feels valued for who they are.
